Principal

Dr. Tammy Roeschlein

Hello! My name is Tammy Roeschlein and I have had the wonderful opportunity to be the principal at
Davis Park Elementary School since 2006. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Education
degree, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. I believe in working
together, being kind, appreciating diversity, having a sense of humor, and showing respect to everyone.
I work hard to model these invaluable qualities every day. The best part of being a principal is working
with students and families.
Whether you are a student or staff member, Davis Park is truly an amazing place. We are a team and
work together to meet the needs of our students and families. Teachers, students, and staff are
creating and learning incredible things each day. Our school focus is not on what a child cannot do, but
instead is on what each student can do and how we can use those strengths to improve and expand
academic skills. Not only do we strive for the highest academic performance possible, we enjoy our
school days and have fun as we experience daily life together.
Davis Park is a Title 1 School, which allows us to provide extra resources and staff for our students in the
areas of reading, writing, and math. Our dedicated teachers and staff work diligently to help all students
achieve their potential and be successful. We provide instruction, interventions, and experiences, which
will enhance the learning of our students while targeting state standards. Our priority is to build on past
successes including increasing student achievement in all subjects and growth in local and state
assessments as we closely monitor student progress.
We welcome and appreciate parent involvement. I encourage you to visit our school, meet our
dedicated teachers and staff, and be part of our school family and your child’s education. We are very
proud of Davis Park and our school community. I continually seek ways for us to improve as a whole, so
your feedback is welcome. I understand the value of making sure there is good and open
