Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of September 17th.

Parents, mid-term grades were posted last week.  Your students’ grades can be seen on Skyward.  We hope you will review your students’ grades.  If you have any questions or concerns, you can email the teachers.  If your Scottie needs support with math or other homework, after school help is available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until 4:30, in Mr. Tyler’s room.  Please encourage your Scottie to take advantage of this help.

We are excited to announce the names of our Student Council Officers.  They are:

Co-Presidents: Vincent Kelley & Ana Morris

Co-Vice Presidents: Sophia Sandifer & Kimaya McCargo

Co-Secretaries: Lily Powell & Calli White

Co-Treasurers: Jazlyn Kelley & Coltin Archer

We are confident that these Scotties have many energetic and exciting ideas for making this a great year at Sarah Scott!

Monday is going to be a busy day, with plenty of opportunity for you to support our Scotties.

Also, on Monday, our boys’ have a tennis match against St. Pat’s Middle School.  The match will take place at Sarah Scott.

Tuesday, our boys’ tennis team will have the home court advantage in their match against West Vigo Middle School.  Join us center court as we support our boys’ tennis team.

Girls’ volleyball teams will be headed to Honey Creek Middle School on Wednesday.

Thursday, Sarah Scott’s cross country team will be at Fairbanks Park to strap on their running shoes in their race against Marshall Junior High School and St. Pat’s Middle School.

All athletic events start at 5:00.

A reminder that the Chromebook insurance program is only open until October 9th.  If you would like to take advantage, return the form found in your Skyward email, on the SSMS website and on Facebook.

I also want to share with you that last week, our food distribution fed 285 people and 88 households.  A big shoutout to our Scotties who worked hard to assemble and distribute the food bags.  Our Scotties are giving back and making a difference in our community!

That was a lot of information.  Let’s have a great week, “At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
