Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of December 11th.  We only have a few days before the Christmas holiday and we have so much to do. Let’s get started with this week’s announcements.
On Saturday, our Scotties joined us for the Skyline Club’s Super Saturday!  Check out the Sarah Scott Facebook page, where we share photos of some of the fun our Scotties had learning Leadership Skills, Math, Language Arts, and Career Exploration.  It was a great time!

Family, as we begin our Christmas break, we want to make sure you, the Sarah Scott family are ok.  Sarah Scott, in partnership with Catholic Charities, will have our food distribution from 9 to 10, tomorrow  The food distribution is open to everyone.  Please share this information with your family and friends, who might need a food box.

We don’t have any basketball games scheduled for this week.  However, we will be hosting a basketball camp for all of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball players, this Saturday.  Sarah Scott Is excited to have Rushia Brown, former WNBA basketball player to lead s basketball camp for us.  Rushia Brown played professionally with the Cleveland Rockers and the Charlotte Sting.  She also played in the European League.  She will be sharing her basketball knowledge with our Scotties and we are excited to have her.  All athletes must have a physical form on file.

Basketball tryouts for the girl’s 6th and 7th grade teams will begin this Saturday from 11:30 to 1:30, at Sarah Scott.  Remember that in order to try-out, athletes must have a completed physical form on file.

Tuesday, Sarah Scott’s band and orchestra would like for you to join us for a Christmas Concert at 5:30.  Band and orchestra members are asked to be at Sarah Scott at 5:00.

Join us this Wednesday at 6:30 for Sarah Scott’s Holiday Choir musical.  Choir members need to report to the choir room at 6:00.

If you would like to take Christmas Family pictures, our Parent Boosters will have a Christmas photo station.  They will be taking Christmas family pictures 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday.  There Is not charge for the pictures.  Our Parent Boosters simply wanted to help our Sarah Scott familied enjoy the holidays.

We had so much fun with Spirit Week that we are continuing with it.
Monday is Pajama Day…school appropriate, of course.  Tuesday is Grinch Day.
Wednesday is Hat, Headband and Hair Day.
Thursday is Red and Green Day and Christmas Sock Day.
We wrap the week up on Friday with Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.

Parents, remind your Scottie to plug in and charge their Chromebook, every evening.  Scotties can’t complete their classwork, if their Chromebooks are dead. Please help us by reminding them to get in the habit of plugging in their Chromebooks every evening.  We appreciate your support.

Let’s make this a great week, “At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
