Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of November 20th. We only have school Monday and Tuesday of this week, but they are filled with activities, so lets’ get started.
We have a special reward for all of our Scotties who completed 60 ALEKS topics, by last Friday. On Tuesday, we have rented out the AMC theater and we will be going, by school bus, to see Black Panther 2! Those Scotties who competed 90 ALEKS will receive a Snack pack. We are excited to celebrate our Scotties for their hard work! If your Scottie received a permission slip, make sure it is returned to the school.
Parents, mid-term grades will be posted on Tuesday. Please review your Scotties grades with them. Some of our Scotties are doing an amazing job of completing their work and turning in quality assignments. Some of our Scotties need your encouragement to remind them of how important their education is. Please check out those grades.
Catholic Charities will be accepting names for their Christmas Store beginning November 24th-November 28th from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. For more information, contact Danielle Elkins at 812-232-4378, choose option 1.
Parents mark your calendars for November 30th at 6:00, when we want you to join us to for our Parent Booster meeting. Parents, we need your input, your support and for you to team with us for the success of your students. And one way to make that happen is to join the Parent Boosters. The meeting will last one hour. We will meet in the cafeteria. Please join us.
Our 8th grader’s Snowball Dance will be held at Sarah Scott on December 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00. This is a special event, just for our 8th grade Scotties which will be filled with fun and winter wonder!. The tickets are now for $10.00 and can be purchased in the main office.
From your Sarah Scott family, we hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family and friends. We look forward to having our Scotties return to school on Monday, November 28th, ready to work, “at Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
