Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of May 1^st.  Here are your announcement for this week.

We wrapped up ILEARN testing this week and our Scotties did a great job.  Thank you to all of our parents for getting your Scottie to school on time.

On Saturday, our Scotties competed in the Academic Superbowl and they did a wonderful job representing Sarah Scott.  Congratulations, Scotties!

Also, on Saturday, our Scotties participated in a statewide track meet at Terre Haute South.  Folks, we have some phenomenal student athletes!  Olympics, here we come!

Here are the activities for this week:

Monday, our girls’ tennis team will have a match against Otter Creek Middle School.  This match will be held at Sarah Scott.

Tuesday, our track teams will be competing against Honey Creek Middle School.  Our 6^th grade team will be competing at Sarah Scott, while the 7^th and 8^th grade teams will be competing at Honey Creek.

On Wednesday, the girls’ tennis team continues to match their skills, this time in their match against Woodrow Wilson Middle School.  This match will be held at Sarah Scott.

Both, out tennis team and our track teams would love to see you in the stand, supporting them.  All athletic events begin at 5:00.

If our 6^th and 7^th graders haven’t done so, already, you can get your tickets for the 6^th and 7^th grade dances at the Terre Haute Boys’ and Girls’ Club.  Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door.  The 6^th grade dance is May 7^th and the 7^th grade dance is May 6^th.  Again, these dances are sponsored by the Terre Haute Boy’s and Girls’ Club.

For our 8^th graders, the 8^th grade “Spring Fling” dance will be this Friday at Sarah Scott.  Much work has been done to make this a special event for our graduating 8^th graders.  Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in the main office.

Mark your calendars for Monday, May 9^th, for our food distribution.  Please share this information on your social media.  Everyone is welcome to come pick up a food box.  Sarah Scott, in partnership with Catholic Charities, are working together to make a difference in our community.

For Scotties interested in joining us for Camp Curiosity, we only have a few openings left!  Be sure to go to the Sarah Scott website to get signed up.  Camp Curiosity will be held May 31st thru June 17th from 8:00 to12:00.  Meal and transportation are provided, but you have to register!  Don’t miss out!  Sign-up today!
