Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, calling with your Scottie Burst for the week of April 3rd. We hope everyone has had a restful spring break and you’re ready to get back to business, because we have a lot planned for our Scotties. Here are your announcements for the week of April 3rd:
Classes will resume at 8:05 tomorrow morning.
Parents, we hope you’re checking your Scotties Skyward account. There you can see if there are any missing assignments or if your Scottie needs help in any of his/her classes. Scotties can receive support before school, from 7:30 to 7:55 or after school, from 3:25 to 4:55 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
To our 7th grade Scotties, who would like to be one of our WEB leaders, for next school year, have you submitted your application or videos? Applications are due April 8th. Don’t miss the deadline.
To our 8th grade Scotties, if you will be joining us for the field trip to Indiana State University, remember that your 21st Century Scholars application must be filed. Parents, you still have time to submit the application. Go to: ScholarTrack.In.gov. It only takes 15 minutes to complete the application.
Wednesday, our 7th and 8th grade track team will have their first track meet at North Clay. The meet will begin at 5:30. We would love to have you join our athletes, if you are able to travel with us to cheer for our team!
Thursday, our girls’ tennis teams will have their first tennis match when they face off against West Vigo Middle School. This match will be held at Sarah Scott. The tennis matches will begin at 5:00.
Scotties, we have two days for pictures. On Thursday, spring pictures will be taken for any Scottie wishing to purchase spring pictures. On Friday, at 3:30, spring sports pictures will be taken.
Mark your calendars the upcoming spring dances. The 6th grade, “Swing into Spring” dance will be held Saturday, May 7th from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Terre Haute Boy’s and Girl’s Club.
The 7th grade, “Spring Bash” dance will be held Friday, May 6th from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Terre Haute Boy’s and Girl’s Club. Tickets, for both the 6th and 7th grade, will be sold at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, beginning April 25th. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. If you have any questions, please contact the Boy’s and Girl’s Club at 812-232-2046.
The 8th graders “Spring Fling” dance will be held Friday, May 6th from 7:00 to 9:00 at Sarah Scott Middle School. Tickets for this special dance are $10.00 and will be sold at Sarah Scott.
And finally, the Sarah Scott food distribution will be held Monday, April 11th from 9:00 to 10:00. Please share this information on your social media. This food distribution is open to everyone.
