This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of February 6th. After all the harsh weather we’ve experienced, we’re glad to have our Scotties return to school tomorrow. Here are your announcements for this upcoming week.
On Tuesday, our 6th/7th grade girls’ basketball teams will head over to West Vigo Middle School to match their skills.
On Thursday, we’re back on the road, headed to Otter Creek Middle School where our 6th/7th grade girls’ basketball teams will take it to the hoop. Let’s go in big numbers, and cheer on our girls! Please remember that masks are required, and social distancing is expected.
Student Council will be selling Candy Grams. If you want to send a “Happy Valentine’s Day Candy Gram to a special friend, teacher, parent or principal, the Candy Grams sell for 50 cents up to $2.00! Cute stuffed animals and candy will be sold all week and delivered at the end of the week.
Attention 8th grade parents, please join us Wednesday evening for 8th grade family night. Wednesday evening is a special opportunity for our 8th grade parents and students to get some important information about Terre Haute South High School. The counselors, from THS will be here to talk about your students’ diploma track, classes, and schedules. You will also have the opportunity apply for the 21st Century Scholarship. And don’t worry about dinner, because we will be providing a delicious spaghetti dinner for our 8th grade parents and students.
Scotties, Friday, you are invited to our Valentine’s Day mixer. The mixer will be from 3:30 to 5:00. The cost is $5.00.
Mark your calendars for Monday, February 14th. Sarah Scott will be having a food distribution tomorrow from 9:00 to 10:00, in front of the school building. This food distribution is open to everyone in the community. Please share this information with everyone on your social media. We want anyone who might need a food box to come out. Please help us get the word out by sharing this information with your friends and family members.
