Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of January 30th.  Last week, we wrapped up County Week for our 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams.  It was a great season!  Here are our announcements for this week:

We continue with our 6th and 7th grade girls’ basketball season on Monday with a home game against West Vigo Middle School.

Tuesday, our 6th and 7th grade girls will look for a victory in their match against Honey Creek Middle School. This game will take place at Sarah Scott.

The 6th and 7th grade girls’ basketball teams wrap up the week with an away game against Woodrow Wilson Middle School.  We hope you will join us in the stands, as we cheer on our Scotties.   Remember to wear your masks and socially distance.

The Sarah Scott Science Fair will be held February 23rd and we’re excited to see the amazing projects our Scotties will produce.  For those Scotties who is be completing Science Fair projects, we have help available every Monday and Tuesday morning between 7:15 and 7:55 and after school Monday thru Thursday from 3:15 to 4:30.

We have some Scotties who are not turning in their assignments, and we need your help.  If your Scottie is absent because of illness or having to quarantine, he/she can still access their schoolwork on their Chromebooks.  Their assignments are posted on their Canvas account.  If you do not have internet, please notify the school and we can provide paper copies of the assignments.  We want your Scottie to succeed.  Check out their Skyward account.  There you can see which assignments are missing.

Please help us spread the word that Sarah Scott Middle School will have another food distribution on Monday, February 14th from 9 to 10. The food distribution is open to everyone.  Please share this information on your social media.  All are welcome!

We believe that partnering with our parents equals student success, “At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
