Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, calling with you Scottie Burst, for the week of November 14th.

Congratulations to the Sarah Scott Spell Bowl Team, who honored us at Purdue University, on Saturday.  Our amazing Scotties earned 2nd place…in the state!  That is soooo AMAZING! Great job!  Congratulations to these outstanding Scotties:  Isaac Goodman, Isis Johnson, Samya Ward, Gavin Wallace, Lukas Woodward, Kendrick Foye, Abby Flynn, Hayden Lugar and Vincent Kelley.  On a special note, our own, Abby Flynn, who had a perfect score,  will compete this Wednesday, in the state’s individual spell bowl competition!  And a huge thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Miss Cox, our Spell Bowl Team coach!

Our 6th grade boys’ basketball team DID IT AGAIN, with their victory against Otter Creek, last week!  Their team is currently 5-0!

Here are your announcements for this week:

Our 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will have their first games of the season on Monday with a game against Honey Creek Middle School.  This will be a home game.

Tuesday, our 6th and 7th grade boys, will be back on the floor.  This time our boys will be playing against Honey Creek Middle School.  This will be an away game.

On Wednesday, our 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will be “fired up and ready to go, for their game against Otter Creek Middle School.  This will be a home game.

Thursday, our 6th and 7th grade boys will be competing against Otter Creek Middle School.  This will be an away game.

We hope you can come out and support all of our teams.  The Sarah Scott cheerleaders and Dance team will be firing up the crowd.  We just need you in the stands, cheering the teams on.  As always, masks are required, and social distancing is expected.  We hope to see you at the games.  All games begin at 5:00.

Friday will be picture day for our 8th grade basketball teams and our cheerleaders.  Pictures will be taken at 3:30.

Parents, our teachers would encourage you to login to Skyward and review your Scotties progress.  We have some Scotties, who have a number of missing assignments.  This will have a negative effect on their grades.  We want you to be informed.  Login to Skyward and make sure your Scottie is completing his//her work.  If you have any questions on how to get this information, please call the school. We will be glad to help…cause you need to know!

If your Scottie needs help in any subject, help is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:25 to 7:55 with either Miss Walker or Mx Pritchard.  Math help is available after school, with Mr. Tyler, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:15 to 4:30.

Grandma’s Cupboard, our food pantry, is there if your family needs a food box.  All you have to do is to call the school and ask for Miss Campbell-Miller.  She will help.

It’s the holiday season, and we are so thankful, for you, our Sarah Scott family, at Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
