Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of May 23rd. Well, we did it! We have reached the end of the 2020-2021 school year! Family, it has been a tough one, but together we got through it. We faced a pandemic and the isolation that comes from remote learning. It was difficult, but we got through it TOGETHER! We have this last week of activities, so let me share this information with you.
Congratulations to Terrell Butler, Nathan Bryan , Mykel Davis, and Joseph Vaughn, who competed in the State Invitational, on Saturday. Our team claimed 5th place in the Shot Put and 10th in the 4 X 100. Congratulations gentlemen! Great job!
Congratulations to all of our young ladies who made the cheerleading teams! We have some great young ladies whom we look forward to seeing cheer on our Scotties next year!
On Wednesday, we will continue our tradition of celebrating our 8th grade graduates. Wednesday, after school, our 8th graders will enjoy a dance and outside games and activities. To our 8th graders, because this event will be held outside, be sure to wear comfortable clothing. The 8th grade dance will take place from 5:00 to 6:30.
To our 8th grade parents, please join us Thursday evening at 6:00 for our 8th grade graduation ceremony. Because of COVID, VCSC is limiting each graduate to 2 guests. We apologize for this inconvenience. In order to allow other family members to see the graduation, we will be livestreaming the graduation ceremony on our YouTube channel. Log into Scotties Livestream and enjoy the entire ceremony.
It’s almost time for Camp Curiosity! We have so many great things planned. Camp Curiosity is open to our 6th, 7th and 8th grade Scotties. Scotties will have math and English, cooking art, music, group activities, Silly science, an egg drop contest, a career fair, CPR training and certification and a Jr. Police Academy. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Transportation will also be provided. Camp Curiosity is the place to be June 1st thru June 18th from 8:00 to 12:00. We are only allowed 50 students, and some seats are already taken. Parents, you can sign up on the Sarah Scott website. So, hurry and claim your seat today!
Family, if you need a food box over the summer, the main office will be open through June. Just call the school and let us know. Please have a safe and restful summer. We love you, “At Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!” Stay safe.
