Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of January 15th. Here are your announcements for this week.
Last Monday’s food distribution was a success! Sarah Scott is thankful to have helped feed 411 people. We are proud of our Scotties, who, each month, work hard to assemble the food bags. Their efforts make the food distribution a Sarah Scott family endeavor.
School will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 16th, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Classes will resume Tuesday.
This is County week for our 8th grade boys’ basketball team! Our boy’s have their first match-up on Tuesday, where they have the home court advantage. Join us in the bleachers and help us cheer our team on to victory. The game starts at 5:00.
If our boys are successful Tuesday, they move on to compete Wednesday. This will be an away game. And the team they will compete against will be announced. This game will be played at Woodrow Wilson.
A victory on Wednesday will take our boys to the finals on Friday. This location and the team they will be matched against will be announced later this week.
Thursday, Terre Haute South will be visiting Sarah Scott to meet with our 8th graders to discuss scheduling for the 9th grade. Parents, it is important that you talk with your Scottie and help them make informed decisions about their course request sheets. You will need to have a copy of the THS Curriculum on the Terre Haute South, which you can find on their website. The Course Request Sheets are to be signed by parents and returned on February 7th, when the Terre Haute South counselors return.
This coming Saturday is Super Saturday for the Skyline Club! Scotties, you are invited to join us from 9:00 to 1:00 for lots of activities, pizza, prizes and fun! If you’ve attended our other Skyline Club meeting you know they are a lot of fun! Be sure to return your permission slip, so you can be a part of the fun! See you there!
Parents please remind your Scotties that Tuesday’s special drawing will be for a pizza party, for one lucky Scottie and five friends! What do you have to do to win? You have to have come to school with a fully charged Chromebook on Tuesday morning. It’s as simple as that! Charge that Chromebook! Can count on your help parents to remind your Scottie to plug in that Chromebook…right now?!
We look forward to seeing you Tuesday morning, “At Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
