Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is Scotia Brown, your principal, with your Scottie Burst for the week of September 18th. We’ve got a busy week ahead, so let’s get started with your announcements for this week:
VCSC will be on a two-hour delay on Monday, in order for all VCSC staff to complete ALICE training, which is a program to assist faculty with school safety techniques and strategies.
On Tuesday, Scotties will have early release. Our Scotties will be released at 2:30.
Parents, our Scotties received their mid-term grades last week. I hope you’ve had the opportunity to look on Skyward and review your Scotties grades. On Friday, to celebrate those Scotties who had no missing assignments and “A’s” on their report cards, we had an ice cream party. Scotties were able to enjoy ice cream and toppings for their great work!
Because we had a number of Scotties who have multiple missing assignments, we postponed our Glo Party until this Friday. We want to give all of our Scotties to be able to attend the Glo Party. In order to make that happen, Scotties have until Tuesday to turn in their missing work. Please check your Scottie’s Skyward account to see how many assignments they have missing and encourage them to get busy getting their work turned in. All Scotties with three or fewer missing assignments, by Tuesday, will be able to attend the greatest Glo Party EVER!
Monday, our boy’s tennis team will be looking for a victory in their tennis match with St. Pat’s Middle School. This tennis match will take place at Sarah Scott.
Monday, the cross country team will be racing against West Vigo Middle School. This race will take place at West Vigo Middle School.
Also, on Monday, our girls’ volleyball teams will on the floor, looking for a win, in their match against West Vigo Middle School.
Tuesday, our boys’ tennis team will compete against West Vigo Middle School. This match will take place at Sarah Scott.
Also, on Tuesday, our girls’ volleyball teams will be traveling to Woodrow Wilson for our JV and Varsity volleyball teams take on Woodrow Wilson. If you can travel with the us and support the team we’d love to have you join us!
Wednesday, our boy’s tennis team will be on the courts, looking for a victory in their match with Woodrow Wilson Middle School. This match will take place at Sarah Scott.
Wednesday, the girls’ volleyball teams will be on the courts, competing against Honey Creek Middle School. This is a home game.
Thursday, our cross country team will be racing against Marshall Junior High School. This race will take place at Fairbanks Park.
Friday is the day! We have been hard at work, planning for the greatest Glo Party EVER! And, we want all of our Scotties to be there! The Sarah Scott Glo Party will be Friday, from 3:30 to 5:30. The cost of the Glo Party will be $7.00. Tickets for the party will only be sold during lunch periods. Come out and enjoy to fun. The concession stand will be open.
I know this is a lot of information, it’s because we’ve got so much GREAT stuff going on “At Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
