Scottie Burst Nov. 17, 2024

Hello Sarah Scott Families,

Parents and students, please look at your midterm reports that were posted via skyward. If you need help completing assignments, Mr. Tyler is available after school until 4:30.

The Student Council is sponsoring “Change Wars” to help share Thanksgiving. Bring in change and fill those buckets to see if your success period will win the donut party! Racines in 1st, Bedrava in 2nd, and Woodward in 3rd place as of right now.

It’s getting cold out there! Reveur is collecting hats, gloves, and scarves. If you can help, please bring in those items to share. Thank you blue house.

If you are interested in wrestling, conditioning is M, W, F until 5:00. If you have any questions, please see Coach Sons or Mr. Burress.

On Wednesday, our 7/8th grade boy’s basketball teams will travel to Marshall, Illinois. Good luck Scotties!

This Thursday, our October Mayor’s Character Award winners will be recognized for Responsibility; in 6th grade, Delilah Gilbert, Shelby Jo Branneman in 8th grade, and Hayven Luttrell in 7th grade and our overall school representative. Hayven will go to City Hall, meet the mayor, and be recognized among the other VCSC students. We are very proud of you.

On Friday, we will have our annual Thanksgiving tradition where we transform our gym into a beautiful dining hall. All students and staff will enjoy Thanksgiving together as a school community and family.

Tomorrow morning is our house meeting so wear your house shirt. Charge those chromebooks, agenda, and have your lanyard with IDs ready. We can’t wait to see you in the morning.

It’s going to be an amazing week here at Sarah Scott.

May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.

Ms. Rachel Cox
