Scottie Burst October 27, 2024
Hello Sarah Scott Families,
Parent Teacher conferences continue this week. If you have not scheduled your conference, please call the main office and they can help. Academic support is available daily for students to be successful by completing assignments and working on missing work.
This week is Red Ribbon Week at SSMS. Tomorrow is Orange, Black, and White Day. Tuesday is Teacher/Student Switch Day, Teachers dress as students and students dress as teachers. On Wednesday, Celebrity Day, on Thursday, Costume Day, and on Friday, Dress up and Prom Day.
On Monday evening, our 6th grade boy and girl student athletes will have a home game beginning at 5:00 vs. Otter Creek while our 7/8th grade student athletes travel to Otter Creek. Lots of energy and talent on the court this season including our cheerleaders and dancers! Come out and cheer on the Scotties! Families, this is a reminder per VCSC policy, a parent/guardian must be with them at the game.
8th grade students will be completing Creating Positive Relationship lessons this week. Parents/Guardians of 8th grade students-if you haven’t filled out the permission slip, please look in your email or sign the paper permission slip to opt-in.
On Wednesday, we will be celebrating students who made honor roll with cinnamon rolls and certificates. There will be an academic celebration later in the year where our parents and families will be invited. Tickets for completing ALEKS topics will be distributed for prize buckets.
Charge those chromebooks, have your lanyard and ID, and be ready for your house meeting tomorrow morning!
It’s going to be an amazing week here at Sarah Scott.
May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.
Ms. Rachel Cox
