Scottie Burst October 20, 2024
Hello Sarah Scott Families,
Parent Teacher conferences begin this week. We are excited to share the great things your student is doing and how we can support your Scottie to be successful. As a reminder, Tuesday is an early dismissal at 2:30 for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Tomorrow evening is the much anticipated, Black Light Book Bingo, 5:30-7:00. Books, baskets of goodies, gift cards, fall pictures and more for the family, all for FREE! Don’t forget the ultimate nachos. You don’t want to miss it! This event is for the entire family.
Report cards were posted to Skyward in the Portfolio. You will also receive a copy at Parent Teacher Conferences. Students will have a data day on Wednesday this week to see their progress.
On Tuesday, our 6th grade boy and girl student athletes will be traveling to Honey Creek for their first basketball game of the season. That game will begin at 5:00. Good luck!
On Wednesday, our 7th and 8th grade boy student athletes will have a home game against Honey Creek for their opening season. Good luck to them!
Our concert orchestra will travel to Wilson to play in a String Thing with Miss Woelke. This is a fun, seasonal event to show off the many talents of all of our VCSC students in middle and high school orchestra. This event begins at 7:00
Thursday is our Pink Out, Sock it to Cancer Day for Breast Cancer. 6th grade student athletes will play their basketball games away at Woodrow Wilson while our 7th and 8th grade student athletes will play their games at home here at Sarah Scott. Our Dance Crew will also be performing. Come out and support our Scotties! Wear pink!
On Friday, House Reveur will be hosting an after school mixer. There is going to be a costume contest, school appropriate of course, face painting, concessions, and more! You will purchase your wrist band during lunches. The cost is $5
Charge those chromebooks, have your lanyard and ID ready, and be ready for your house meeting tomorrow morning!
It’s going to be an amazing week here at Sarah Scott.
May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.
Ms. Rachel Cox
