Scottie Burst October 6, 2024

Hello Sarah Scott Families,

This past week our Fall Sports completed their seasons for boy’s tennis, girl’s volleyball, and cross country. Thank you to all of the student athletes, families, and coaches for having a great season, having fun, and improving their talent.

With that being said, 6th grade boys and girls, along with 7th and 8th grade boys will have tryouts after school tomorrow for basketball. You must have a physical on file to try out. If you have any questions, please contact our athletic director, Mr. Burress.

This week continues the state ILEARN checkpoint tests. The tests are over the standards that have been taught up to this point in math and language arts. The tests will be 20-25 questions. Make sure your chromebook is charged for testing.

A new tardy policy will be in effect tomorrow. There is an attachment to the skyward message.

On Thursday, the Korean Club will begin. If your student would like to learn basic Korean language and culture, paper folding, and more, permission slips are in the main office.  Registration is limited, so make sure to sign up.

Parent Square information will be sent out via skyward. Short videos and downloading information will be shared as we phase out phone messenger. Make sure skyward information is correct.

The end of the grading period is Thursday. We have a short week this week and next for Fall Break. There will be no school on Friday and Monday.

It’s going to be a great week here at Sarah Scott. Tomorrow morning we will have a  House Meeting so make sure you Rep Your House with your house shirt.

May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.

Ms. Rachel Cox
