Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of August 27th. We are so excited because we are off to a great start to this school year. Our Scotties have come in ready to learn and to take a part in all of the great things going on at Sarah Scott! We have a busy week planned, so let’s get started with your announcements.
Parents, all Vigo County Schools will be on a two-hour delay on Tuesday. On Tuesday, classes will begin at 10:05.
Our girls’ volleyball teams have been showing up for practice at 6:00, in the morning, and they have sharpened their skills and they are ready to go. They start their season on Monday, at Sarah Scott, with our match against St. Pat’s. Come help us cheer them on to victory. We’ll see you in the stands.
On Tuesday, our girls JV and Varsity volleyball teams will be on the road to Otter Creek Middle School. We’d love to have you travel, with us, as we cheer our teams on to victory!
On Tuesday, our cross country team will have their first race. Join us at Fairbanks Park, as we race against Honey Creek Middle School.
Wednesday, our girls JV and Varsity volleyball teams will match their skills in a match against Woodrow Wilson Middle School. This match will take place at Woodrow Wilson.
Thursday, our boy’s tennis team has been preparing themselves for their first match. On Thursday, our boys will be one the road to Honey Creek Middle School for their first tennis match.
Thursday, our cross country team will head over to Deming Park to face off against Otter Creek Middle School.
All of our athletic events begin at 5:00.
We do have a special invitational that our cross country team will be participating in. Come out and join us at 8:30, Saturday morning, for the Terre Haute Savings Bank Invitational. This race will take place at the LeVern Gibson Course. Our Scotties would love to hear you cheering on the sidelines.
