Hello Sarah Scott Family,
And welcome back for the 2023-2024 school year! This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with this week’s Scottie Burst. We hope you are excited about the start of this school year. All WEB leaders are to be Sarah Scott, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11:00. All 6th graders are to be at Sarah Scott Wednesday from 12:00 to 5:00. All 6th, 7th and 8th grade Scotties and parents, we are looking forward to having you join us for Open House, on Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00pm. At Open House, Scotties will receive a copy of their schedules and have the chance to meet their teachers and find their lockers. This would be a great opportunity for you to bring your things and put them in your locker. Parents be sure to join us and enter the drawings to win $100.00 in gift cards!
Scotties, we are looking forward to seeing you bright and early on Thursday morning. All Scotties will start the morning in the gymnasium and are to report to their 1st period class by 8:05.
For those of you, who still need to get school supplies, you can find the school supply list on the Sarah Scott website or on the Sarah Scott Facebook page.
For all of our cross country runners, your first meeting will be this Tuesday at 6:00pm, on the track, with Coach Smo. Girls’ Volleyball and Boy’s Tennis will begin practice Thursday, immediately after school. All student athletes must have a completed physical form on file, in order to participate.
Just a reminder that, for safety reasons, parents are to pick up their student, at the end of the day on 9th Street, 10 ½ Street or Grant Street. Cars are not permitted on the parking lot at the end of the day. If you have any further questions, you can find our handbook on the Sarah Scott website.
Mark your calendar for Monday, August 14th. Sarah Scott, in partnership with Catholic Charities, will have our food distribution from 9:00 to 10:00am. Please help us by spreading the word, to those you know, that this food distribution is open to any family in need of food. All they have to do is to come to Sarah Scott between 9 and 10am and pick up a food box.
