Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of March 19th.

We had a wonderful evening on Friday, welcoming the community to the Sarah Scott Fish Fry.  The food was great and seeing the community support our Scotties was amazing!  Thank you to all of our students, staff and community volunteers who made the evening possible.

Tuesday is the last day to complete ALEKS topics for “Ant Man and the Wasp”.  The grade level with the most completed ALEKS topics will be enjoying a private showing at the AMC theatre on Thursday.  Scotties had to have at least 60 ALEKS topics to participate.  You still have time to get some topics completed!  Let’s see who wins!

Sarah Scott will honor our Scotties with their Dog Tags.  Dog Tags are awarded to those Scotties who go above and beyond in all that they do.  Dog Tags are selected, by staff, for qualities such as respectfulness, helpfulness and effort.  We look forward to celebrating our newest recipients on Wednesday at 2:30.

Cheerleader tryouts will be held this week.  Any Scottie interested in trying out for next year’s cheerleading team must attend the three mandatory meetings on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Practices are from 4:00 to 6:30 on Wednesday and Thursday and from 5:00 to 6:30 on Friday. If you’re interested in trying out, be sure to pick up the cheerleading packet of information, in the main office.

There will be no classes March 27th thru March 31st as we enjoy Spring Break.  Classes will resume on Monday, April 3rd.

Please mark the date of April 3rd.  We will have a FREE physical clinic for any Scottie planning to participate in athletics.  The physical clinic will be held from 3:30 to 5:30.  The physical clinic is FREE.

Have a safe Spring Break, and we’ll see you back at “Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
