Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of August 14th.  We had a great start to the beginning of the school year!  For our new member of the Sarah Scott family, you will receive this Scottie Burst every Sunday evening to share all the news and information you will need for the upcoming week.  We want you to be informed, so here we go:

Do you want to be a Sarah Scott Cheerleader?  We will be having tryouts for the Sarah Scott Cheerleading Squad on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week.  Yes, we had tryouts at the end of last year, and those who made the team, are still on the team.  This is an opportunity for those who didn’t get to tryout to come out to these mandatory meetings.  If you have the skills and the interest, we’d love to have you on the team!  Again, that’s this Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:00 to 6:30.  The names of those who make the team will be posted on the main doors Friday night.   Remember, you must have a completed physical form, on file, in order to tryout.

Tuesday, Aug. 16, Sarah Scott will have a FREE Physical Clinic from 3:15-5:30 at Sarah Scott.  All athletes who want to go through the clinic MUST be registered for Final Forms prior to the clinic.  Parents can find the instructions for registering for Final Forms by going to our website and clicking on Athletics and then Parent Playbook or Register with Final Forms.

All Scotties have been given and are expected to wear their student ID’s every day.  Student ID’s allow staff to identify students, as well as reward students, with Scottie Bucks,  for doing the right things.  Please remind your Scottie to wear their ID every day.  Beginning Monday, students who fail to wear their ID’s will be issued a lunch detention.

We want all of our Scotties to be successful.  This week, we will be reviewing expectations, with regard to student discipline.

We believe that great things can happen in the lives of our Scotties, when we, community, parents, and staff work together, “At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
