This is Scotia Brown, your principal, calling with your Scottie Burst for the week of May 14th. I am excited to share with you that 6th, 7th and 8th grade track teams went to County last week and EACH grade level team earned 2nd place! Congratulations! We also want to congratulate our girl’s tennis team, who did a great job in their County match! We are so proud of our Scotties! Here are your announcements for this week:
On Tuesday, Sarah Scott will be honoring the Top 10 students in each grade level for their academic excellence at our TOP 10 Banquet. We are excited because this will be the first time, since the pandemic that we have been able to host the banquet. This is a wonderful evening that we love sharing with our Top 10 and their families!
Congratulations to two outstanding Scotties: Steven Ewing and Reaghan Simmons, who will be receiving the Eddie Connors Award on Wednesday. The Eddie Connors Award celebrates students for their excellence in athletics. Both Steven Ewing and Reaghan Simmons are well deserving of this award. Congratulations!
Thursday, we’d love to have you join us for our Spring Concert. Our Scotties have been preparing for this performance all year! In fact, this will be our first concert, since the pandemic! The concerts begin at 5:30. This will be an evening of performances by the Sarah Scott choir, band and orchestra. We hope you’ll join us!
Sarah Scott Middle School’s 8th grade graduation will be Thursday, May 26th at 6:00 in the gymnasium. Please join us for this momentous occasion.
Camp Curiosity will be May 31-June 17th from 8:00 to 12:00 and it is going to be “Bursting, bursting!” We’ll be going on field trips to Cincinnati, Indianapolis, ISU Field campus. We’ll have silly science, basketball camp and many exciting activities for you to enjoy! Transportation and meals are provided. But you have to register for Camp Curiosity on the Sarah Scott website. Where did the time go? This year is wrapping up! But, we’ve still got some exciting days ahead, “At Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
