Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of November 7th. Here are your announcements for the upcoming week.
Daylight savings time has ended, so it’s time to fall back, by setting your clocks back on hour. Be sure to check all the clocks in your home, so you can be sure to be at school on time!
We concluded our parent-teacher conferences last week. If for some reason, you weren’t able to have a parent-teacher conference, please call the school. We would love to talk with you.
We will see you curbside, for Meaningful Monday. We will be outside with hot chocolate, as you drop off your Scottie. We are collecting for Toys for Tots. If you could help us by dropping off a new toy, we would appreciate it! See you curbside!
Sarah Scott will have a food distribution on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00. If you, or anyone you know needs a food box, meet us outside of Sarah Scott, Monday morning between 9:00 and 11:00. We would love to have a great turn-out. Please post this food distribution on your social media page.
Our 6th and 7th grade boys’ basketball teams have been showing their stuff! And they are ready to do it again on Tuesday, in their game against Otter Creek Middle School. I understand that Otter Creek has a good team, but our teams are ready to compete! And compete they can! Join us, in the stands on Tuesday, as we cheer on our teams. This will be a home game, which will begin at 5:00.
Parents, please join us Wednesday, for our Spaghetti Dinner and Parent Meeting. Central Office will join us to share the plans for the new building. The meeting will begin at 6:00, in the cafeteria. We hope you’ll join us! Our Scotties will receive 50 Scotties Bucks for their parents attendance at this meeting AND you might win one of the great gift baskets! But you have to be here to win. Again, that’s 6:00 for our Spaghetti Dinner and Parent meeting. No students please.
There will be no classes on Thursday, in observance of Veteran’s Day. Classes will resume on Friday.
Have you heard the news? Our Spell Bowl Team placed 2nd in our division! Because of their excellence, our Scotties will be competing in the State Finals this Saturday, at Purdue University. Our Scotties have been training hard and they are excited to represent us in the State Finals! Let’s wish them well!
Our Scotties’ excellence is an honor, at “Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
