Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of October 31st. As always, we have plenty of great things taking place this week, so let’s get started with our announcements.
We will continue with parent conferences this week. If you haven’t had the chance to talk with one of our teachers, be expecting your call. We are hoping to speak to 100% of our parents. If you haven’t received a call from us, please give us a call.
Our 8th girls will have try-outs for the basketball team on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week., from 3:30 to 5:00. The names of those who make the team will be posted on Wednesday.
Our 6th and 7th grade boys will be taking their skills on the road for their games against Woodrow Wilson, on Thursday. If you have been to any of the other games, you already know that this is guaranteed to be exciting! Join us in the stands on Thursday at 5:00 at Woodrow Wilson Middle School.
We will have school picture retakes on Thursday, November 4th. If your Scottie didn’t have pictures taken or you didn’t like the pictures, put November 4th on the calendar for Picture retakes.
Family, we need to change the date of the Parents’ Spaghetti dinner to Wednesday, November 10th at 6:00. Central Office would like to meet with the Sarah Scott family to discuss the plans for the new schools. Please come out and join us for this meeting. Our meeting will be held in the cafeteria.
Just a reminder that Scotties can get help with math and other subjects every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 7:25 to 7:55. Math help is also available after school every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15 to 4:30.
If your family could use a food basket, we can help. Just call the school and ask for Miss Campbell-Miller.
Please keep saving those plastic caps and lids and sending them into the school! Our goal is to collect 500 pounds. We can do it, with your help!
Let’s have a great week, at “Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
