Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of October 3rd.

Congratulations to our girls’ volleyball teams, the cross country team and the boy’s tennis team.  All of whom did a great job during county week.  A special congratulations goes out to the cross country team.  Cameron Modesitt took 3rd place with a time of 11:02.  Boy’s JV, Hayden Lugar took 9th place with a time of 13:48.  1st place for JV went to Kasen Ward with his winning time of 12:04.  Another shout-out goes to our boy’s tennis team.  Our standouts were Shawn Kreienbrink-Thompson and Gavin Wallace, who both won fourth place.   Overall, our boy’s tennis team who won 5th place in the county tennis match.

Scotties, tomorrow is the last day to bring in items for the basket raffle.  6th grade, your theme is Hocus Pocus. 7th grade your theme is Candyland. 8th grade, your theme is “Fall”.

To our 6th and 7th grade boys.  Do you have basketball skills?  If so, why not show us what you’ve got?  If you’re the next LeBron, we need you on the team!  Tryouts for the basketball teams begins tomorrow, right after school, in the gymnasium.  Scotties must have a current physical on file and you must be passing your classes, cause your grades matter!  Come show us what you’re working with!

Parents, please join us for “Bingo and Baskets” on Tuesday 5:30 to 7:00.  We will be raffling off some great baskets.  You can purchase your raffle tickets for $1/ticket or $5/10 tickets.

Family, if your family needs a food box, we’re here to help.  Call the school and ask for Miss Campbell-Miller.

School will be closed on Friday, October 8th and Monday, October 11th, as we observe fall break.  Classes will resume Tuesday, October 12th.

On Friday, we celebrated all of our Scotties who have had NO discipline referrals for this school year.  We were honored to celebrate over 200 Scotties for doing the Right thing!  Our Scotties got to enjoy ice cream, bomb pops and sundaes, during their lunch, for being AMAZING!

We love celebrating our Scotties, “At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
