Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of August 30th.  We have two great weeks of school under our belts.  And we are looking forward to next week being another great week.  Here is the information you need for this week:

We’d like to congratulate our Student Council Members.  We are looking forward all of the great things the Student Council will do this year.  The first Student Council Meeting will be this Friday.

The Scottie Bucks Café will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Scotties.  The Scottie Bucks Café is a place for our Scotties to read, study and complete homework assignments.

On Monday, our girls’ JV and Varsity volleyball teams start their season with a match against St. Pats.  The match will begin at 5:00 and will take place at Sarah Scott. We would love to see you in the stands cheering on our girls.

On Tuesday, our girls’ JV and Varsity volleyball teams will be on the road for their match against Otter Creek.

Also, on Tuesday, the cross country team will be racing against Honey Creek Middle School.  The race will be held at Fairbanks Park.

Wednesday, the girls’ volleyball teams will again be on the road.  This time Our Scotties will match their skills with Woodrow Wilson.

Thursday, our boy’s tennis team has a match against Honey Creek Middle School.  This match will be held at Sarah Scott.  Our Varsity and JV boy’s tennis teams would love to have your support.

On Saturday, our cross country team will compete in the cross country state preview meet.  This race will be held at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course.  We would love to have you come cheer on our runners!  This event begins at 8:30.

All other athletic event begin at 5:00.  All visitors are required to wear masks and socially distance at all indoor events.

Parents, please be mindful that you are not allowed to park in the bus/drop-off lane.  Doing so creates a danger for those walking in the parking lot or those dropping off their students and then driving around a parked car.  If you need to park and come into the building, you will need to pull into one of the parking spaces.  Thank you for helping us  keep all of our staff and students safe.

One last announcement.  Sarah Scott will be having a food distribution this Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00, in front of Sarah Scott.  We are doing this distribution a little different.  If you are in need of a food box, we need you to call the school and put your name on the list.  This is so we have enough boxes put together for to meet the need.  Again, you will need to call the school and give your name to Miss O or Miss Tovar.  All names will need to be on the list by 3:00 Tuesday.

Let’s make it a wonderful week at “Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
