Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie burst for the week of May 9th. To all of our Mothers, Happy Mother’s Day to you! We are coming to the end of this school year, but there is so much left to do, so let’s get started with our announcements for this week. Here we go!
Scotties, Camp Curiosity is the place to be June 1st thru June 18th! Camp Curiosity is open to all incoming 6th graders and next years 7th and 8th graders. We will have a lot of fun activities like Crazy Science, The Egg Drop, Math Magic, cooking, music, art and so much more! Camp Curiosity will be held 8:00 to 12:00. Breakfast, lunch and transportation are provided. You can sign up on the Sarah Scott website. Hurry and sign up, because we only have we only have space for 50 Scotties.
It’s County Week for our tennis team and our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade track teams. During County Week, we always celebrate with Spirit Week. We hope all of our Scotties will join the fun, every day. Monday is Pajama Day. So, when you check in for your Google meets tomorrow, remember to wear your favorite pajamas. Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day. Show us your craziest hair styles. Wednesday is School Spirit Day. Show your school pride by wearing our school colors: orange, black and white. Thursday is college day or sports day. Show off your favorite college or sports team, by wearing a jersey, hoodie or hat. Friday is hat day. Wear your favorite and/or craziest hat.
Interested in being on the cheer leading team? Cheer leader tryouts, for those who are not on the track or tennis team will be Monday and Tuesday3:30 to 5:30. The cheer leading workshop will be Monday. And tryouts will be Tuesday. Again, this is for those who are not on the tennis or track teams. For those Scotties who are on the tennis and track teams, and you want to try out for the cheerleading team, we will have a special tryouts for you on May 19th. We will hold both the workshop and the tryouts for you, on that date.
Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade track teams have been working hard and they are ready to compete. The County Track Meet will be held Wednesday at Terre Haute South High School at 4:30.
Our girl’s tennis team will be matching their skills on Thursday. Let’s cheer them on to victory in the County Tennis Match at Terre Haute South. The match begins at 5:00.
Sarah Scott will host a food distribution on Monday between 9:00 and 11:00. Everyone is welcome to come and pick up a food box. Please share this information with anyone you know who may need a food box. All are welcome!
