Scottie Burst September 1, 2024

Hello Sarah Scott Families,

Tomorrow, there will be no school in observance of Labor Day. There is a Labor Day parade that will start at 11:00 at 11th and Wabash.

I want to brag on many of our Scotties for being responsible and prepared for class with their chromebooks charged and carrying their agendas. This week will be our first data day as we are close to our midterm of the first grading period. Keep up the great work Scotties!

If you are interested in joining the Dance Team, learning the routine will be Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10th and 11th and try outs on the 12th. Remember, you must have a physical to try out. If you have any questions, please see Coach Personette.

Ms. Smith will be at all lunches on Tuesday to talk about Student Council. Applications will be sent via skyward student access and student email.

On Tuesday, our cross country team will run their first race at Honey Creek. The team has been busy training, the weather is more comfortable, and they are ready! Our ladies Volleyball team will have a home match against Otter Creek and they are ready to play! Both events will begin at 5:00. Best of luck Scotties!

On Wednesday our volleyball teams will play Woodrow Wilson at Sarah Scott. This match begins at 5:00. As per VCSC policy, students must have an adult present with them to enter the game. Thank you for supporting your Scotties!!!

On Thursday, our boy’s tennis team will have their first match at Sarah Scott as well. They’ve been busy on the court. Our cross country team will host Otter Creek at Fairbanks Park.

Parents, students, and staff: thank you for filling out the survey about the foyer pillars. Those words will be added this week. You will be able to see them on September 11, 2024, 5:30-7:00 for dinner and discussion. Also, a special surprise is in store for you.

It’s going to be a great week here at Sarah Scott!

May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.

Ms. Rachel Cox
