Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,
This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of December 4th.
Tomorrow is Meaningful Monday! We look forward to seeing you right in front of Sarah Scott. We’ll have hot chocolate, a Danish and a copy of the school newspaper for you.
Parents, our Parent Boosters will be having a meeting at 6:00, on Wednesday, to elect officers. With your input and support, the Parent Boosters can do great things for our Scotties. Please join our parents, in the cafeteria, on this Wednesday at 6:00.
It’s County Week and our 6th and 7th grade boys’ basketball teams are ready to compete! Our first game will be on Monday, when our Scotties take to the floor, looking for a victory against Honey Creek Middle School. This is sure to be a good game! The excitement starts at 5:00, right here at Sarah Scott. We need you in the stands, cheering our boys on to victory!
If our boy’s teams are victorious on Monday, they will continue their quest for the County Championship on Tuesday. Tuesdays’ game will be an away game, to be announced later. Tuesday’s games will be played at Otter Creek Middle School at 5:00.
A victory on Tuesday will seal our place in the final games, scheduled for Thursday at Terre Haute South High School. Those games will begin at 6:00pm.
Wednesday, our 8th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will have a home game against Otter Creek Middle School. We’d love to have you join us and cheer on our Scotties!
It’s Spirit Week and you know how we do it at Sarah Scott. Monday is “Show your school spirit by wearing your school colors” of orange, black and white.
Tuesday is Squad Day. Get your friends together and dress like a squad.
Wednesday is Adam Sandler Day. Dress like any character in one of Adam Sandler’s movies.
Thursday is “Anything but a Backpack Day”. Have fun with this one as you choose what to carry your school supplies in!
Friday is Elderly Day-How old will you be on Friday? We hope all of our Scotties will join the fun!
Family, help us spread the word. Next Monday we will have another food distribution. Our last food distribution fed over 270 people! Sarah Scott’s food distribution is done in partnership with Catholic Charities and is open to anyone needing help. That’s next Monday from 9-10, right in front of Sarah Scott.
We are working to make a difference, “At Sarah Scott: Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained, and Potential is Developed!”
