Stay informed of your Scotties progress by checking their Skyward account for missing assignments. It’s not too late to get those assignments turned in. If you have questions, email his/her teachers through Skyward or Canvas.
If your Scottie could use some math support, help is available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30 to 4:30, with Mr. Tyler.
Monday, October 10th. We’re looking forward to seeing you, bright and early tomorrow morning, in front of Sarah Scott for our first Meaningful Monday! As you drop off your Scottie, stop by and pick up a newsletter, a Danish, and a cup of hot chocolate.
Also, on Monday, we will also have our Sarah Scott Food distribution. Did you know that our food distribution feeds almost 300 people? Times are tough and we want to help Please help us spread the word. Tell your family, friends, and anyone you know who might need a food box. All you have to do is to come to Sarah Scott between 9:00 and 10:00 and we’ll do the rest.
Tuesday, October 11th, please join us for our Parent Booster meeting. Parents, the Parent Boosters is your organization. And we need you! We need your input. Join us Tuesday. We’re cooking up some great chili for your dinner. We’re planning some fun, with our Book Bingo. We’ll talk a bit, eat a bit and play a bit. Please join us. It’s free and it’s guaranteed to be fun! Join us at 5:30 in the school cafeteria.
Thursday is our 1st annual “Tailgating Party”. The Tailgating party is a celebration for all of our Scotties who earned, at least 40 Reading Counts points, for the grading period. It’s the party that you don’t want to miss! We’ll be cooking, playing corn hole, Pickle Ball and so much more. Get busy reading and getting your 40 Reading Counts points.
Principals’ Open Door is Monday from 3:15 to 4:30. It’s a time, set aside each Monday, to discuss your concerns. I’d love to talk with you Monday from 3:15 to 4:30. Just call the school to make an appointment.
7th and 8th grade parents, your Scotties may qualify for a $60,000 scholarship. The state of Indiana awards this scholarships to any and all students, who, during their 7th and 8th grade years, qualify for free and reduced lunch. The catch is that you must apply for the scholarship before the end of their 8th grade year. The application only takes 3 minutes to complete. To apply, go to www.scholars.in.gov/enroll. School will be closed Friday, October 14th and Monday, October 17th, in observance of fall break. Classes will resume Tuesday, October 18th.
