Good, Good Evening Sarah Scott Family,

This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of September 25th.  As it was last week, this week, promises to be a busy week, so let’s get started with our announcements.

Our Glo Party was a great success!  Our Scotties had a great time.  And, we enjoyed having fun with those Scotties who got to join us for all the fun.  Many of our Scotties took advantage of the time to get their missing work turned in, so they could attend the Glo party.  Congratulations to you for all your effort!

We’re celebrating County Week…all week long!  And you know what that means…We can’t have County Week without having Spirit Week.  We’re hoping everyone will join the fun.

Monday is Pajama Day.  We want everyone to wear your comfy pajamas…school appropriate, of course.  Monday afternoon, our boy’s tennis team will compete at West Vigo Middle School.  If you can travel with us, to cheer them on. They would love to have the support.

Tuesday is School Spirit Day. Show your Sarah Scott pride by wearing our school colors of orange, black and white.

Our Boy’s tennis team continues working for a victory, on Tuesday, as they travel to Honey Creek Middle School to compete.

Our girl’s JV and Varsity teams have their County match on Tuesday.  This match will take place at Sarah Scott.  Let’s fill up the stands and cheer our girls on to victory!

Saddle Up Lil’ Doggie on Wednesday ‘cause its Cowboy Day.

The Cross County County meet is Wednesday.  This race will take place at the LaVern Gibson track.  Please come out and support our Scotties.

Thursday is 90’s Day.  Time to get retro with 90’s fashions like mall hair, overalls, flared pants and punk rock.  The Volleyball County finals will be on Thursday.  These games will take place at Sarah Scott.

Friday is Twin Day-Grab  friend and dress alike.  Our boy’s tennis team will wrap up the week, on Friday.  The County tennis match will be held at Terre Haute South.

Scotties, Fro Yo Friday is back!  This Friday, treat yourself to some delicious frozen yogurt.  We will be selling frozen yogurt, during lunch, for 50 cents.

Our next big celebration will be our Tailgating Party on October 12th from 1:30 to 3:15.  Every Scottie who earns 40 Reading Counts points will be able to attend.  Parents, you might ask how does a Scottie earn Reading Counts points?  They earn them by reading them book they’ve checked out of the library.  Every Scottie has a library book.  Once they complete the book they take a quiz, to earn points.  Help your student by encouraging him/her to read their library book.

Let’s get in the spirit…”At Sarah Scott:  Where Hope is Inspired, Talent is Trained and, Potential is Developed!”
