I began teaching in 1994 and have spent my teaching career at Otter Creek. You could say that teaching is in my blood. Many of my family members are, or were, teachers, including my father who taught and counseled at Otter Creek for 32 years.
Parents can access Canvas by logging in as their child to the Gmail account, clicking on the waffle, and scrolling down to Canvas. The Gmail login consists of the first five letters of the last name, followed by the first three letters of the first name, and the last four digits of the student I.D. followed by @student.vigoschools.org. (Example: SmithJoh1234@student.vigoschools.org). The password will be the first character of the first name (lower case), the first character of the last name (lower case), and then the birthday – two digit month, two digit day, two digit year. (Example: John Smith born on January 2, 2005 – the password would be js010205.) This way, parents can monitor the work that is turned in.
The Grades should be checked through Skyward.
