Band Program at OCMS

Nathaniel is excited to begin his teaching career as the Band Director at Otter Creek Middle. He recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he studied music education and music performance (saxophone).

Band has three levels at OC. All incoming sixth graders are placed in instrumental beginning band classes and perform together at school concerts. Seventh and eighth graders are split between a standard Symphonic Band and audition only group called Wind Ensemble. There is also an extra-curricular auditioned 7th and 8th grade jazz band.

 Both the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band perform at Indiana Music Festivals, and all bands performs locally and in individuals competitions.
