A mother duck set up housekeeping in the HCMS courtyard to prepare for her brood of little ones.  Thirteen ducklings made their appearance in the enclosed area where the mother (named Karen by some of the faculty) cared for them.  As the ducklings grew, Karen looked for a water source to teach them the art of swimming, but nothing could be found.  That is when Mrs. Sarah Cleveland, Mrs. Nancy Padan, and Mrs. Shannon Giles stepped in to relocate the webbed family to a safe location with water where the ducklings could swim and splash all they wanted!  We thank these faculty members for rescuing the duck family and locating the perfect home for them.
