Several HCMS band students made the 2022 Drum Corps International INPact Band that is slated to perform at the Drum Corps International World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, August 13th. Approximately 500 Indiana middle school students were selected to perform at this event. This year the students will be performing alongside Yamaha Artist Al Chez (former trumpeter of the Late Show with David Letterman). The HCMS students are: Diarmuid Corcoran, Faith Ellison, Mike Goldner, Austin Cheek, Zak Dix, Sunny McCormick, Dante Pettus, Jack Robeson, Sophia Robins, Manuel Ruiz, Brittany Abrams, Kaiden Alexander, Colby Ellison, Taylor Gray, Jenna Kemp, Darcy Kirby, Landon Piloni, Zander Tracy, Caleb Wyrick, Grace Zuerner.
The Honey Creek Band was awarded the Indiana State School Music Association “All-Music Award” for the 2021-2022 school year. The group is directed by Mr. Nathan Simpson.
