On Tues., April 5th, Caitlin Hunt from WTHI filmed and interviewed some of the WBTV Student News Team members. She reported on the important skills that the students had learned while serving on the team: working with a group, reading, writing, listening, speaking, thinking ahead, and working with technology. The broadcast spoke of how the WBTV daily news streams to the classrooms helped to bring a sense of community to Honey Creek by highlighting winners of the Mayor’s Character Award program, academic honors, sports achievements, and saying the Pledge of Allegiance together as a school. Mrs. Karen Webb, WBTV sponsor, thanked the Vigo County Education Foundation for awarding two schoolwide grants to purchase equipment for WBTV.
