Shamyant Boda, grade 8, won third place in the state writing contest Letters for Literature. Over 1,000 Indiana students submitted letters to authors who inspired them. Shamyant wrote his letter to Jhumpa Lahiri, author of The Namesake. He will receive a prize pack and monetary award, and he will also be published in the Letters for Literature Anthology.
