West Vigo High School, with the support of the community, will provide a safe and caring environment in which students will become productive citizens by acquiring academic knowledge, practical life experiences and critical thinking skills.

Our History

Established 1960

West Vigo High School was consolidated in 1960. We proudly remember our heritage from Concannon , Fayette, and Valley High Schools.

Transportation

The safe transportation of students is a responsibility shared by the VCSC administration, transportation staff, drivers, parents and students. We are committed to providing safe vehicles and qualified drivers along with school bus safety education to students and parents.

Immunization Information
The Indiana State Department of Health adopted rules under IC 4-22-2 requiring the school age child to receive additional immunizations against the following: Meningitis, Varicella, and Pertussis (whooping cough). What this means for your child is that before entry to school  all 6th-12th grade students will be required to have 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, given on or after the first birthday, and separated by-appropriate intervals as defined by the CDC, or a history of chickenpox disease that has written verification by the parent or physician. All 6th– 12th grade students will be required to have 1 dose of tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given on or after the 10th birthday. In addition, all 6th-12th grade students will be required to have 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4).
