Congratulations to Jacob Brinston for winning the Black History Makers of Tomorrow scholarship from the McDonald’s Corp.
Congratulations to Mauricia Lucas, Kambria Watler, and Nakota Crowlet for winning at the Regional Skills USA. They will be going to State in April.
Congratulations to the Science Bowl Team A and Team B who competed at the Regional Science Bowl competition. They were placed into a single elimination round of eight and made it all the way to the quarterfinals. Team A: Jeffrey Chen, Christopher Gosingco, Jack Lalouche, and Judah Minster. Team B: Sonia Bavishi, Aubrey Featherston, Ava Gonzalez, and Grace Spencer.
Congratulations to the Terre Haute South WiBret Guard! They competed here at Terre Haute South and placed first out of 8 groups in Class A with a 6 point lead! We are so proud of their strong performance and can’t wait to go to Zionsville!
Congratulations to the Terre Haute South Band on a great weekend at ISSMA State Instrumental Solo and Ensemble
In other exciting news, The Terre Haute South Jazz Band was 2nd place out of four groups at the West Vigo Jazz Festival! They scored only 3.5 points away from a perfect score!
And finally, the Terre Haute South Winter Guard was 3rd place out of six groups in their round at the IHSCGA Northview Contest! Great job South Band members!
Congratulations to the following DECA students on their achievements the State DECA competition: Taylor Gray-Tshirt and program design, THS DECA-Chapter Campaign, Kassidy Merk-Competency of excellence for her test score in IMC event, Armani Suggs-top 10 finalist in research event, Toni Adeagbo-top 10 finalist in professional selling, Jacob Brinston & Mark Mimms-top 10 finalist in Career Development, Lily Tislow & Taylor Gray- top 10 finalist 6th place overall in community awareness, Olivia Cleveland & Maddox Wood – top 10 finalist and 6th place overall, AND Callista Dillion & Kate Telle-top 10 finalist, 1st place overall with a perfect score and advancing to International Competition!
Congratulations to Zane Carson, Judah Minster, Noah Price and Emeilyah Sands who all received GOLD ratings at the ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble Contest. Special recognition goes out to Judah, who earned a PERFECT score and therefore received a Gold with Distinction on his cello solo!

Congratulations to members of the THS Choir Department for their incredible performance at ISSMA District Solo and Ensemble this past Saturday. It was a clean gold sweep for Colby Ellison, Anneke Donker, Jena Gormong, Kensington Heath, Nash McCloy, Soap Downs, Sofa Plunkett, Sophia House, Sophie Lubic, and the Baddieshop Quartet, and they will all be advancing to the state competition.
