Meet Mrs. Killeen
Hello, my name is Mia Killeen. I attended Indiana State University from 1987-1992 while completing my Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mild and Severe Disabilities. In 1998, I went back to school at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College to earn my Elementary Education licensure. I have also attended Indiana University while taking classes towards my Gifted and Talented Endorsement. In 2008, I attended Olivet Nazarene University where I completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have taught in the Vigo County School Corporation since 1992. I am currently the 3rd-5th special education resource room teacher at Hoosier Prairie, but I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 2/3 Gifted and Talented.
I am married to Patrick Killeen, a teacher at Terre Haute South High School. I have three children: McKenzie, Meghan, and Ethan. My family is my pride and joy, and we do everything together. In my spare time, I enjoy taking pictures and scrapbooking them into albums. I love watching HGTV and sappy Hallmark movies.
