Meet Mrs. Jacks

Hello, my name is Cindy Jacks. I am so excited to be teaching third grade. I have been teaching in Vigo County since 1994. I have lived in southern Vigo County my whole life. I graduated from South High School and Indiana State University. My husband is a farmer in southern Vigo County. We have 2 daughters, Michelle and Jennifer, and 7 grandchildren. Michelle Schimmel is a teacher at South Vermillion High School. Michelle and her husband, Jason have four children. Jennifer Gann and her husband G.A. live in White House, TN which is near Nashville. They have 3 children. My favorite thing to do is play with my grandchildren. I love it when they are all at my house. It is a little chaotic since they are ages sixteen and under. We feel very blessed!

We love to make an impact on our community. We have participated in Feeding with Reading and collected mounds of food for needy Veterans. We have made placemats for Meals on Wheels. We made over 20 tie blankets for The Linus Project.

I believe all children can learn! My classroom environment is a warm and friendly place where students are not afraid to try new things.
