Meet Dr. Walker
Hello! My name is Amy Walker. I have been teaching in the Vigo County School Corporation since 1998. My teaching career began at Deming Elementary. While there I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades, special education, as well as being the school improvement/writing coach. I am currently the behavior interventionist at Hoosier Prairie Elementary.
All of my degrees have been completed at Indiana State University. I hold a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, a masters in Special Education, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. Along with teaching at the elementary level, I also teach courses at the Bayh College of Education at ISU.
When not teaching, I live on a small hobby farm with chickens and goats. Most of my time off is spent taking care of my animals and doing projects around the farm! For fun, I enjoy being with family and friends.
