Meet Miss Jeffers
Hello, My name is Ms. Jeffers! I am the current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Hoosier Prairie Elementary, within Vigo County School Corporation. As Hoosier Prairie’s only Speech Therapist, I provide therapeutic screenings, evaluations and services to students who require assistance with any articulation, language, cognitive and behavioral needs. My goal is to help students find their voice and confidently succeed in interacting with fellow students, teachers and their families!
Education has always been an important factor in my life! My mother has been a teacher in Vigo County School Corporation for over 30 years. Growing up, my sister and I attended Clay City Elementary and High School, where we were very active in clubs, sports, and community events. After high school, I attended Indiana State University for both undergraduate and graduate school. During this time, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2016 and my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in August of 2018. I have been employed through Covered Bridge Special Education District and Vigo County School Corporation as a preschool and elementary school SLP since graduating. Growing up in both Clay County and Vigo County has provided me with a vast amount of experiences and gives me great pride in our local communities!
Here at Hoosier Prairie, we put our students first! We aim for them to succeed to the best of their abilities. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact me at asieavae.jeffers@vigoschools.org.
