Meet Mrs. Fish
Hello! My name is Mrs. Jodi Fish. I began my teaching career at Hoosier Prairie in 1996. I have taught first grade, second grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and transition.
I graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1994. I earned a master’s degree in education from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008. I enjoy learning about teaching children.
Family is very important to me. I married Scott in 1994. He works at North American Lighting in Paris, IL. We have two children and two bonus children. Mikaela earned a bachelor’s degree in theater from University of Southern Indiana. She married Max in 2020. Justin attends Indiana State University. He married Kaylee in 2023. I am also the mother to two furry children. We have one dog, a King Charles Cavalier, named Bailey. She is a certified therapy dog. We volunteer for Love on a Leash in the community. We have one cat, Romeo. My furry children are the topic of many writing lessons. The children just love to hear about when they get into mischief!
In my free time, I love to create quilts. Scott, Bailey and I spend much of our time in nature; hiking, camping, fishing, and kayaking are some of my favorite pastimes. I also love to read and have a stack of books on my nightstand every night. Scott has to threaten me each night to turn out the light or I’d stay up reading all night long. I love to swim and snorkel, especially in the ocean. One of my goals is to be a published author one day.
