About
I began teaching 1st Grade at Dixie Bee during the 2012-2013 school year. I am the mother of Matthew (47) and Melissa (45), who both attended Dixie Bee, and Nana to Jasper (8) and Arlo (5). I love to travel with my life-friends, use fresh coffee beans, spend time with my grandchildren, and visit my mother in Vero Beach, Florida.
I attended Indiana State University and received a B.S. in Psychology and Criminology in December 1976, I acquired Teacher licensure from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2002. The following year, I was a Reading Recovery teacher at Sugar Grove. For 9 years, I was the Vigo County Title 1 Reading teacher at Gibault, working with ages 6-18+. I also tutored at the Vigo Co. Homes for children for 5 years.
