Hello, my name is Michele Myers. I teach first grade at Sugar Grove Elementary School. I have lived in Terre Haute all my life. I have two daughters and three granddaughters. I graduated from Saint-Mary-of-the Woods College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I was fortunate to do my student teaching at Sugar Grove with the late Mrs. Sue Wright. In 2008 I joined the Sugar Grove staff.
Each year I want to inspire my first graders with the love of reading and learning each day. I believe my role as a teacher is to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of my students. I hope to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity.
