Personal Information about myself:

Lifelong resident of Clinton, IN

I am very proud of my family.  I have three wonderful children (twin daughters and a son) and an amazing husband.  My children keep my husband and I very active by being involved in many extra curricular activities.  We enjoy spending time together while traveling, supporting the CUBS, swimming in our pool and visiting with family and friends.  I am extremely appreciative of my extended family: parents, mother-in-law and sisters/brothers-in-law for all of their love and support of me, my husband and children!  We couldn’t do it without them!

I love to laugh and my favorite activity is laughing so hard that I cry! 🙂

Academic/Professional Information about myself:

Graduated from South Vermillion High School

Graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in  Education (Early Childhood Education)

Graduated from Indiana State University with a Master of Science Degree in Education (Literacy)

Obtained an Education Administrative License (30+ hours in addition to a Masters) from Indiana State University

Obtained Certification for Reading Recovery from Purdue University

Graduated from Indiana State University with a PhD in Educational Leadership

I am a member of the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) (I have served as District 8 President and currently serve as the Co-Chairperson of Riley Kids Caring and Sharing Board through IASP).  I am a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals; I am a member of Delta Kappa Gamma which is an Educational Sorority (Local Chapter Beta Eta), serving currently as Corresponding Secretary.

I was recently named “Elementary Principal of the Year” for District 8 / IASP!  Thank you to the people who nominated me.  It is a huge honor to receive this award!  I am humbled.
