Booker T. Washington High School will provide a high school education to each student meeting their individual, physical, and emotional needs as well as their academic and career goals.

 

Chromebook Fees and Guidelines

1. Repair Fees:

  • We will not charge Chromebook repair fees this year.

2. Chromebook Insurance:

  • We will not offer Chromebook insurance this year.

3. Deliberate Damage Fee:

  • A fee of $50 will be charged for deliberate damage to Chromebooks, to be determined and assessed by the building administrators.

4. Chromebooks Lost or Damaged Beyond Repair:

  • For lost Chromebooks or Chromebooks damaged beyond repair, charges will be assessed according to the age of the Chromebook.

    • Year 1: $350

    • Year 2: $262.50

    • Year 3: $175

    • Year 4: $87.50

5. Exceptions:

  • In the fall semester 2024 only, the following fines will not be charged:

    • Fines for lost Chromebooks purchased in 2020.

    • Fines for lost or damaged chargers purchased in 2020.

    • Fines for missing or damaged snap-on Gumdrop cases purchased in 2020.

6. Chromebook Assignment:

  • With the new Chromebooks, each student will retain the same device for its entire life-cycle.  If a Chromebook is sent for repair, it will be returned to the student who originally had it once it comes back to the school from repair.

The Vigo County School Corporation uses an electronic flyer communication tool called Peachjar. Each school can email electronic flyers to its families.
