What is an Behavior Interventionist?

you matter

Someone who promotes highly specialized positive behavior interventions with “at-risk” students, along with coordinating and with assistance in promoting positive behavior in students through the development of School- Wide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) programs.
Well that is who I am, here at Benjamin Franklin Elementary as their Behavior Interventionist. I work closely with our school’s counselor and principal. To promote positive behavior, I do groups, as well as individual interventions with students.  We do lots of rewarding for positive behavior, but one of my favorite things that we do is our monthly Pride Badge Winners celebration!
I’m married to Pastor Terry Clark, and together we have five children and five grandchildren, in which we are raising two of our granddaughters. In my spare time, I love gardening, singing, shopping, spending time with my family, traveling to see monuments and historical sites and cooking, especially for the holidays.

This year will be another exciting year for me at Franklin!!!
  • Always be respectful of the teacher’s right to teach, other students’ right to learn, and everyone in the classroom.
  • NO cell phone or gum in my classroom.
  • Arrive to class on time every day with ALL your needed books and supplies.
  • I will dismiss you at the end of class – NOT the bell.
