I can’t wait to meet you!
Welcome to 1st Grade! I am so excited to be your teacher! Our classroom is one big family where we work towards everyone treating each other with kindness and respect. My goal is for students to feel loved and secure in our school. We will focus on getting to know each other and building a strong classroom community for these first few weeks of school. We will have a lot of fun this year exploring and learning together!
Expectations
Homework will be sent home each Monday and is due back to school on Friday. Folders will be sent home every Tuesday and are due back to school, signed, the next day. In it, you will receive your student’s graded work, a classroom newsletter, and any other information from the school. Our classroom newsletter explains what we are learning each week. Please reach out using the contact information at the top of the page if you have any questions!
MEET THE TEACHER
Hello, my name is Mrs. Snow! I cannot wait to get to know you this year! Before we start our year together, I want to share a little about myself. I have been married to my husband, Sawyer, since 2019. We have two cats at home named Louie and Fern. We also have two pugs named Olive and Finnegan. You can find me reading a book on my Kindle at home or walking my dogs at the park when I’m not teaching. I also love to travel whenever I get the chance!
EDUCATION
I graduated from Indiana State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2019. This year will be my fifth teaching first grade at Benjamin Franklin! Before I taught here, I taught fifth grade at Deming Elementary School. While I loved fifth grade, first grade is my favorite!
