About Mrs. Hammond
Hi, my name is Terri Hammond. I have been a Title 1 Reading Teacher at Ouabache for 17 years. I
graduated from Indiana State with a master’s degree in both Elementary and Special Education. I have
also received a Reading degree from Purdue University. I love books and feel like I have the best job in
the world!
My family includes my two sons and their wives, four amazing grandchildren and an adorable dog
named Bo Jackson. I love to spend time with my family and grandkids, read, travel, cook and eat!
In Reading Recovery, we provide the supplies! Students will be provided with books to read at home, a subscription for a digital reading library that can be accessed on the Chromebook, and a cut-up sentence notebook. We encourage our students to read the books in their book bag, glue their cut-up sentence in the notebook, and draw a picture to go with it. Please be sure the book bag comes back to school each day!
